Importing Winhelp Files to HelpStudio

Importing your content from Winhelp project is a 2 stage process:

  1. Open up Microsoft HTML Help Workshop (download it from this link if you don't have it installed - Download from here;
  2. In HTML Help Workshop, use File\New to create a new HTML Help project and on the first wizard page tick the box to import from your existing winhelp project;
  3. Once the HTML Help project has been created, use Html Help 1.x CHM File command on the Import ribbon tab in HelpStudio to import the HTML Help project.

The initial quality of the end result will depend on how much WinHelp specific features your help system uses.
